
NFL FLAG Leagues - Program Overview:
Thank you for your interest in our NFL FLAG Leagues!
We are a 501(c)(3) family-oriented recreation league in partnership with the National Football League. We are dedicated to bringing families together, strengthening relationships, and building new ones, all-the-while teaching players football fundamentals and opening up a safe and competitive environment to play NFL Flag Football for youth between ages 5 – 14 years old.
Our mission is that any child who wants to play, will indeed play regardless of their financial circumstances.
We are a high-quality league, with our NFL Flag programs operating annually since 2009.
We are open to the public, so anyone can register for our leagues regardless of where they live. We serve families from all over Sacramento County, Yolo County, and Placer County, and beyond.
Our RECREATIONAL Leagues are a great way to keep your kids busy and active while developing their flag football skills in a fun and safe environment.
2026 SEASON
LEAGUE DATES:
Sept 5, 2026 - Oct. 31, 2008 (8 week season + playoff tournament)
Our 2026 Fall Season will begin on Saturday, September 5th with our annual Meet & Greet event and end on Sunday, Oct 31st with League Championship Tournament.

The game schedule will be subject to final registrations numbers and we know how many teams we will have. Once a time is set for divisions it will remain for the entire season.
AGE GROUPS:
NFL FLAG is a age-based organization, players play in their designated age group.
We do allow paritcipants to 'play up' upon request and evaluation, but we do not allow participants to 'play down'.
6u Coed - Age 5-6 years old
8u Coed - Age 7-8 years old
10u Coed - Age 9-10 years old
12u Girls - Age 11-12 years old
12u Boys - Age 11-12 years old
14u Girls - Age 13-14 years old
14u Boys - Age 13-14 year old

*All Levels are 5v5 game play
LOCATIONS:
NORTH CONFERENCE: SACRAMENTO - Destiny Chrstian Academy - 3041 Mayhew Rd, Sacramento, CA
SOUTH CONFERENCE: ELK GROVE - Laguna Creek High School - 9050 Vicino Dr, Elk Grove, CA
GAME TIMES:
SATURDAYS - 12 am - 5 pm *Approximate*
(starting from the youngest age group to up to the oldest age group)
PRACTICES & GAMES:
All practices and games are on the SAME DAY - This means just a 2 hour time commitment per week for our parents and families. Practice takes place 60 mins. prior to a participant's scheduled game time.

All Registrations include High Quality Game Day Jerseys, Game Shorts, Water Bottle, Player Bag, and Flag Belt!

Season Cost
We will continue to be the most affordable league in the area and offer our NFL Flag Season at $125, which will include an NFL Jersey, NFL Shorts, and Flag Belts

Our teams, coaches, and volunteers’ communications will come through the Mojo App. This is a free download from your app store and makes communication with your team, coaches, and the league easy.
Coach/Buddy Requests
To have a specific coach or player requested (or not requested), please insert first and last names during your registration questions. Otherwise we will organize teams based on school, grade, gender, and skill-level. If a coach is bringing a roster to the league, they will need to email the roster to [email protected] and all players from that roster will need to be individually registered.
Non-volunteer Fee
We are a volunteer-based organization. Therefore, we require every participant to either volunteer OR pay a $40 non-waivable fee (Paying this fee does not relieve the duty of fundraising, which is a separate waiver).
If it is discovered that a parent missed their volunteer day, they will be sent a request for the $40 non-volunteer fee. If that fee was not paid, they will be prohibited from waiving the volunteer fee in future seasons.

All participants must volunteer for at least 1 shift per season
Waitlist
Our waitlist will open the day after registration closes (August 23). We will continue to fill rosters until the season begins. Once we begin games on Saturday, September 12th, rosters are locked and only teams that fall under the minimum recommended number of players will be able to request a waitlist player. No coach can request a specific player from the waitlist, only the first available based on when they registered.
Player of the Week Series
Our Player of the Week Series is a social media post every Friday that highlights a successful game for one female and one male player in our league.
For your child to receive a spotlight, send the following information via email to [email protected] (info below):
1) Player Name and Year they joined our league
2) Team and division they play for
3) Their game stats
4) A picture of them playing in our uniform
Fundraising opt-out fee
Keeping our league affordable comes with the premise that all of our families will participate in fundraising to cover other fees associated with the league: referees (usually $30k per season), field rentals (approx. $10k), equipment, etc.
However, we have come to find that some families prefer to pay an opt out fee upfront rather than pay for fundraising. This fee will be $50 per player and will be one of our registration question options. If you do not pay this fee, it is understood that you will be sending your fundraising link out to the best of your ability as described below.
LEAGUE FUNDRAISER:
In order to keep our fees low, we rely on our wonderful families and community to fundraise together through crowd raising with our partner eTeamsponsor.
This is a simple, online fundraiser that does not require our families to collect money, sell or deliver anything to anyone. All our families need to do is create their custom page through the eTeamsponsor Portal and share their link to family, friends, and coworkers. All purchases and donations made through your link will be tracked on your profile and we will update the leaderboard every day.
We will have prizes available to the top three Fundraisers as follows:
1st Place: $250 Disney Gift Card with + Three (3) 2-Day Passes
2nd Place family: $100 Disney Gift Card + Two (2) 2-Day Passes
3rd Place family: $50 Disney Gift Card + One (1) 2-Day Pass
COACHING:
Our amazing volunteer coaches are the backbone of Our NFL Flag Coach Sarna League. We may have 1,000 kids who want to play NFL Flag, but we need the coaches in order to form the teams and participate.
GSA NFL Flag partners with the MOJO App which includes a pre-set 8-week flag football practice plan as well as a list and videos of drills for your team(s) to use, or you can make your own practices.
NOTE: It is important to remember that we are a volunteer-based league, and we rely on families and friends for coaching.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
It is the mission of our league that every kid who wants to play, will indeed play regardless of their financial circumstances.
Only head coaches (need to be in advance of registration deadline) are guaranteed full scholarships. Assistant coaches will receive half scholarships
A full scholarship covers the full registration fee and uniform. It does not cover a fundraising opt-out or the non-volunteer fee if you choose not to volunteer.
All other scholarship requests will be on case-by-case basis and can be either partial or full scholarships.
REFUND POLICY:
NFL Flag does not allow us to return jerseys or other items once delivered. Therefore, families have until August 21st to withdraw for a full refund. Families who withdraw from August 22nd until the season begins can request a 50% refund. No refund will be issued to any family once the season begins.
DISCLAIMER: NFL Flag does not refund anything ordered in the wrong size. Therefore, if you order the wrong size there are no exchanges and you will need to repurchase the item or make do with the size.
PLAYER EQUIPMENT:
As noted above, all registrations include a reversible NFL team jersey, NFL team shorts, Flag Belts, player bag, and water bottle. All players are required to have a mouthpiece and cleats.

The Jr NBA/WNBA program goal is to teach the fundamentals, principles, and techniques of flag football in a safe and encouraging environment.
Both male and female athletes are ALWAYS welcome in our programs!
We strive to keep the commitment to a miminum for parents. We are parents as well and know all too well the busy schedules with education, other sports, and familiy activites. Pracitces and Games will ALWAYS be on the same day with practices one hour prior to game start time. Any practices scheduled outside of this time by coaches is not encuraged and is not mandatory for any participant.
